What Day is it.. ????

Well, having finally realised that it is Wednesday and not Tuesday as I had thought....here is my offering for this weeks challenge over at the Hobbybook Designer Challenge Blog.
The challenge is to add at least three flowers and I have used the image 'too cute' for it.
Yes, this one IS available, she is a newbie on the block...

I have recently set myself a bit of a challenge too....
I am only allowing myself to use pre folded card blanks,
papers from pads that have been neglected for too long
and
I am only allowed to print things off if they are specifically requested...
HELP!!!!!!

This card fits all the requirements....only the image was printed...
I reckoned I could get away with that for DT work.
It is a small A6 card, a size I rarely use but it makes up the majority of my
card blank stash....

Here is a slightly different angle to get rid of the reflection in the mirri card...

As I said, the challenge is to add three flowers....
after colouring with promarkers I add three paper roses on wire.
I used a craft knife to carefully make two small slits,
one above the hands and one below and I slotted the roses through.
Hopefully it looks as if she is holding them...

I then mounted her on first some jaquard type paper,
then some silver mirri card
and finally some flowery paper.
It was then just finished off with a couple more flowers,
a butterfly,
and a sentiment....

Before I leave a little puppy is begging for attention...so here it is...

You can find this image in the shop Here

A Couple of Days to go......

Well after the boobie I made with my card for the Hobbybook Designer Challenge
I have done a different one....
yes, I know...
this challenge is nearly over...
BUT
there are still a couple of days to join in and ...
just maybe...
I might be able to tempt you to join in too.

For this card I have used 'for you' papers and elements and
lil red riding hood digi stamp...

I coloured it with my trusty promarkers and did a mixture
some elements digitally added and some cut out and stuck.
If I were doing it again I might leave the flowers
it looks as if they are attached to her hood.

See what I mean about the flower....

I just wanted to show some dottiness....only because I like it....

You can find the digi and kits in the shop HERE

And the blog challenge, which is for Mum, HERE

Thank you for looking and if you are not already a follower,
I would love you to join me.
I am trying to get blogging more and doing it surrounded by friends would be great...

Fingers Crossed I am Back...

After too long with problems getting photos off my memory card...I am back at last. It would not have been right to blog without any photos.

Today is Designer Challenge day over at Hobbybook which you can find HEREThe theme this time is for Mum or a special lady...I used one of my favourite fairies...

I should have checked before making this card...but I didn't...and I now know that she is unavailable for a while. Still it means you get to look at this card and then have a bonus of another one (still in the making) really soon..

So here she is in all her cuteness, the backing papers are from a Pink Petticoat pad that I got as a freebie from Quick Cards and I cut the doily from matching paper too. The fairy herself was coloured with promarkers and, as per usual, her eyes are finished with sakura black glaze pen...this pen is so brilliant for making black pop and also gives a great shine when used on animal noses (well, those with black noses anyway..)

Every fairy likes a bit of bling...OTT or subtle they really don't mind...here I hope you can see the diamond on her hair decoration....ok so not a real diamond but shhhhhhh please don't tell her....an upset fairy is not something you want to see !!!

...and...of course....every fairy wants sparkling wings and so these were finished off with stickles.

Finally I will mention that I inked the edge of the papers and doily with a brown chalk ink pad, sorry I can't tell you the make but it looks the same shape as the dewdrop inks. I do hope that she manages to fly back into the shop soon but, in the mean time, keep your eyes peeled as card number 2 for the Hobbybook Designer Challenge will be appearing soon....

Love and hugs my friends xxx
